€400,000 won on Microgaming Poker Network’s bad beat
jackpot!
ISLE OF MAN – Microgaming (www.microgaming.com), the world’s
largest provider of online gaming software, today announces that
the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN)’s Bad Beat Jackpot has
been hit! Following weeks of rapid growth, six lucky players have
won a total of €439,289.83.
The Bad Beat Jackpot was hit on Monday 19th March when a Nordic
Bet player, alias Gaboork_jai, lost with Four of a Kind Aces to
a Straight Flush. That ‘lucky loser’ took home an incredible
€219,645 while the other players at the table shared the remainder.
Gaboork_jai commented: “It’s really crazy. First I
was annoyed I lost the hand, but then I realized I won the jackpot.
I’m still in shock. It sure is a lot of money!”
Some of the prize money will be spent on a trip to Las Vegas, something
he has dreamed of doing for years.
This is the largest Bad Beat Jackpot won to date on the MPN. It
was won by a Danish player on the software built by Microgaming
for compliance with Danish regulations.
Anders Karlsen, Head of Poker at Nordic Gaming Group Ltd, comments:
“We are delighted that Nordic Gaming Group had four out of
the six players sharing this amazing jackpot. We want to congratulate
all of our players who have been striving for this record-breaking
jackpot. We are confident that the concept of jackpots in poker
is going to be even more popular in future, as players can win huge
prizes in a fun atmosphere, which is great for recreational players.”
Lydia Melton, Head of Network Games at Microgaming, adds: “The
Bad Beat Jackpot is such a great promotion, and we are very happy
for the lucky player and NordicBet. Since the Jackpot was so huge
when it was hit and 20% is used to seed the next Jackpot, over €130,000
is still up for grabs.”
