MICROGAMING RECEIVED MANX AWARD
It’s not surprising that one of the industry's most notorious
turnkey providers and software developers, Microgaming has won an
award for its contribution to the economy of the Isle of Man, of
which they are based. This week, the Newspaper Awards of the Isle
of man gave recognition to the company in the city of Douglas.
Entered in the most competitive category, New Organization of the
Year, Microgaming won the Manx award hands down. In order to be
in the running, the company must be operating on the Island a minimum
of 2 years and no more then 10.
In receiving recognition after receiving the award, it was said
that Microgaming is “Part of the next wave of business to
take the Island into the future.” Microgaming was very pleased
and proud to accept the award and Chief Executive Officer, Roger
Raatgever commented on the win saying, “ I can only quote
from part of our award citation. Microgaming quickly realized that
the Internet was not just a version of an offline casino room, but
a totally new playing experience with the potential to entertain
and engage people in new ways. It was also realized that to achieve
this, it would require constant evolution and innovation. We want
to thank all of our staff for their part in bringing this vision
to fruition and making this win possible.”
This award is one of many achievements that Microgaming has attained
over the years, along with respect and admiration of many involved
in online gaming
