Joe Beevers
Joe Beevers may hail from England but he has proven that he
is one the finest players in the world.
A member of the now famous Hendon Mob, Beevers enjoys the game more than
anyone known. He is a smiling and personable
player that has proved time and time again that the world of poker has no
bounds for players the world over. His
beginnings were that of accounting and finance which he earned a Bachelor’s
degree in. This lead to job with the
world wide financial power of Citibank but that was not enough to curb his
interest in card playing. He spent a lot
of time in casinos in London where he played Blackjack with the best and he won almost every time out. This led to him being banned from the casinos
as they were losing too much money with his talents. He turned away from Blackjack to poker and
began his ascent through the ranks. This
turn has proved to be one of the best that he has ever made. There are few that have been able to match
his talents in the lower levels of the World Series of Poker and he plans to
continue down this path for a good many years to come.
Beevers
has the distinction of being the first member of the Hendon Mob to make a run
to the World Series of Poker and placed in the money for the event. This was only the beginning for the young
player as he made a record ten appearances on the Late Night Poker series and
hit the grand final several seasons.
Beevers best finish in the World Series of Poker main event was one
fifty in 2005 but that could all change in the blink of an eye for this player
as he continues to climb the ranks and improve his play. As a player he has traveled the world with
the World Poker Tour and also as an independent winning several large events.
Beevers
was born on December 9, 1967 in London and now at the age of 38 he plans to continue his ascent to poker greatness and
will eventually win the main event. This
is a tall order as only the best of the best make it to the final table and
then you must deal with those that have been playing for more years than some
of these younger players have been alive.
