Paul Clark
Paul Clark is one of the many professional poker players
that are wildly admired not only for their skill in the game but also for the
life he lead prior to showing up in the world of poker. Before starting his career Clark was in Vietnam during
the war and acted as a medic. He was a
highly decorated solider and takes great pride in having served his country
during this time. Once he returned home
he turned his attention to poker and quickly learned that there was a lot of
money to be made in the sport itself. He
took a liking to seven card stud and became one of the most unbeatable players
in the game.
While there was a lot of
action in other states for stud Clark learned that Las
Vegas was not a big stud town so he took to the many areas that
offered Omaha hold em and all that comes with it. Clark quickly aligned himself as one of the best players
in the game and used his talents in the cash action to raise the money to enter
the tournaments. This proved to be a
good move for Clark as he took to winning the
various events all over the town. Thanks
to other stud players the seven card stud game along with its many siblings
became events in the World Series of Poker.
This was good news for Clark who went on to take three bracelets in various
stud events.
Thanks to these wins Clark also managed to finish in the money for two of the
World Series of Poker main events, earning nearly a million dollars for the two
appearances. This was no surprise as
many of the best players in the game state that Clark has the potential to be one of the very best players to ever live and they are
constantly urging him to switch from seven card stud to main event Texas Hold
em.
Most
recently Clark decided to join the World Poker
Tour. This has proven to be a smart move
for him as he has managed to win several events and also take home some major
prize money along the way. He continues
to favor seven card stud as his game of choice but has professed that he is
working on his Texas Hold em game to make a run on the main event in the coming
years.
